On Friday, Wichita Police activated the Raven Gunshot Detection System—acoustic sensors that quickly locate gunfire to help curb gun violence.
The system was chosen using crime data and community input to provide officers with faster alerts.

Tanganyika Wildlife Park welcomed a new male pygmy hippo named Mars, the fifth calf of the pair Posie and Pluto.
