A 33-year-old man named Shawn Lewis was arrested in Wichita & charged with first-degree murder and child abuse in connection with the death of his two-year-old stepson John Delano, whose injuries did not match his account, and his preliminary hearing will be held on July 21 at 1:30 p.m. while he remains in Sedgwick County jail on a $2 million bond.
Two people were injured in a stabbing at 13th and Broadway on July 9—police are investigating the incident.

Fairview Ave—his bond is set at $1 million and his next court appearance is scheduled for July 29.
On Tuesday, the Wichita City Council approved a framework for a Common Consumption Area in Delano that will allow outdoor alcohol consumption from the Arkansas River to Seneca Street—other Kansas towns have already put similar rules into practice.
