- ➤ Shriners Children’s hosted a special Hospital Experience in Dodge City that brought together 17 young patients with football players, band members, and cheerleaders ahead of the Kansas Shrine Bowl — nearly 400 participants gained a firsthand look at the challenges kids face with prosthetic legs and wheelchairs. - ➤ The remains of U.S. Army Air Forces 1st Lt. Herbert G. Tennyson, 24, returned to Wichita Friday morning with a water cannon salute as his aircraft landed at Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. He will be buried with full military honors at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 27 at Old Mission Cemetery next to his wife, Jean. KWCH
