  • St. Rose of Lima Mount Vernon Parish has been searching since 2021 for its stolen rose stained glass window and hopes to recover it by Christmas for use in a new building while working with the Kingman County Sheriff's Office.  KWCH

  • Wichita shop owners say paid parking is hurting holiday sales as customers complain about fees that reduce foot traffic downtown. Businesses like Wizard’s Alley (a game shop) report fewer shoppers and plan ahead for slower months after the holiday rush.  KWCH

  • Old Cowtown’s Victorian Christmas event returns to Old Cowtown Museum — featuring caroling, dancing, carriage rides and a visit with Santa to honor 75 years of history. It runs Saturday, Dec. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. with $15 admission.  KSN

  • Teri Hall, WSU Vice President for Student Affairs, retires ahead of the spring semester after a decade of service focused on connecting every student — her retirement reception was held Monday afternoon at Rhatigan Student Center where colleagues praised her leadership and the steps she took to bridge gaps on campus.  The Sunflower

  • On Dec. 13, Avery Hoy, one of the world’s youngest certified paramedics, told his story in an interview that showed his work and heart for our community. He explained how he got certified and shared what drives him in emergency care.  KWCH
