- ➤ Three Jersey Mike’s locations are hosting a holiday can drive from Wednesday through Sunday as customers donate nonperishable items for a free sub card and owner Chris Stong is matching donations with $2 per can (up to 1,000) to help the Kansas Food Bank gather over 1,000 items by Christmas. - ➤ Wichita-based Spirit AeroSystems and Boeing said the acquisition could be finalized by year’s end if Boeing meets FTC conditions (divesting plants operating in North Carolina, Northern Ireland, and Malaysia). KNSS

- ➤ A mural celebrating Delano's history is being painted inside the new Wichita Transit Multi-Modal Facility near Equity Bank Park. Artist Lindsey Kernodle leads 25 local artists using a color-by-numbers method and plans to finish the project by spring. KMUW
- ➤ Wichita Festivals Inc. and Emprise Bank unveiled the official artwork for the 54th Riverfest today — local designer Dustin Youngman was named contest winner and his design will represent the festival scheduled for May 29 – June 6 featuring events like the Sundown Parade, River Run and fireworks. - ➤ Wichita State University announced a 3% budget cut for fiscal year 2027 with possible workforce reductions; it will review cost-saving and revenue measures during the spring budget cycle (responding to lower international enrollment and state funding limits). The Sunflower
- ➤ Students at Somewhere Music School in downtown Wichita are gearing up for a performance on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. — the show features covers of Michael Jackson and Pink Floyd songs that help young musicians build skills and friendships. KMUW

- ➤ Six Wichita organizations have been awarded $3.5 million to provide free health testing for residents near contaminated groundwater by 29th and Grove. The Kansas Health Foundation administered the grant with funds from local+state+private partners. KWCH
