  • Residents can plan a busy weekend in Wichita with events starting today as Bliss Climbing & Fitness celebrates its 10-Year Anniversary with $10 day passes and a Throwdown on Saturday at 6 p.m.—other events include Wild Lights at the zoo, an indoor farmers market, and holiday pop-up markets. CULTURE NEWS

  • Lindsborg farmer Frank Reese runs Good Shepherd Conservatory where he raises heritage turkeys—six of the eight species recognized by the American Poultry Association—to preserve diverse, historic breeds that are a part of his family's long tradition.  KSN

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • AAA projected that over 81 million people traveled more than 50 miles for Thanksgiving while Storm Team 12 warned that an incoming storm may bring winds over 50 mph—making roads especially risky for big trucks. Trooper Xavier Beran advised drivers to slow down and use defensive driving as the storm could make travel even more challenging this weekend.  KWCH
