CULTURE NEWS

  • Fulton Valley Farms has set up a holiday light display that turns the farm into a North Pole scene using millions of lights, real reindeer, and a re-created Santa’s workshop—an event that welcomes visitors during the holiday season.  KSN

  • Family members remembered Kenneth Taylor, the longtime East High wrestling coach who inspired many students and athletes. They shared memories of his kind spirit and strong work ethic—traits that made a lasting impact on the school.  KWCH

HEALTH NEWS

  • Botanica partnered with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and hosted AJ and his family for a private preview of its Illuminations showcase—an event honoring his last Christmas as he suffers from a terminal illness. His doctor noted that this celebration will be his final holiday moment.  KSN
  • A 14-year-old Wichita teen with terminal cancer died Sunday a few days after his Make-A-Wish was granted, leaving his family in sorrow as his mother said he went to meet Jesus this morning—she asked for thoughts and prayers to help them through this loss.  KSN

SPORTS NEWS

  • Kansas City's Power Football League is drawing national attention as about 70 youth teams from the metro area, including teams from Wichita, compete with Dynasty Youth Sports Club leading with a flawless 15—0 record and multiple state championships. President Maurice Woodard is working to secure more support to improve funding, practice space, and referee shortages—steps he says will help local kids learn teamwork and discipline through sports.  The Voice
