- ➤ Neighbors in West Wichita said the park is unsafe due to broken equipment and poor lighting — many worry it puts children at risk. Local officials will inspect the park soon to decide on necessary repairs. KWCH
- ➤ Residents in west Wichita say Meadows Park is dangerous because tree branches hang over the sidewalk and fallen limbs block the path. Neighbors said city officials inspected the park and trimmed only about 20 percent of the trees while residents wait for further cleanup. KWCH
- ➤ On November 20, the family of Sidnee Carter donated funds to the local K-9 unit—supporting its training and operations. KWCH

- ➤ USA Containers opened a shipping container yard in Walton on Thursday—its spot near Interstate 135 and U.S. Highway 50 was chosen for quick storage and delivery—and the yard will serve as a center to store and distribute shipping containers. KSN
