- ➤ The final Wichita By E.B. Dinner Series will be held at Station 8 BBQ on Dec. 17 with One Life Spirits, where guests enjoy a Christmas party with a blind-course BBQ menu, festive music, raffles, and a Wichita By E.B. hoodie. Proceeds will raise at least $1,000 for Fresh Hope to support women in need, and 60 tickets cost $100 + tax with early access for Patreon members + a newsletter release on Nov. 17. Wichita By E.B.
- ➤ On Sunday, Raul Cervantez gave free haircuts to homeless residents near Lord’s Diner on Central and Broadway+ he also handed out pizzas, water and Gatorade, and he said he will return every Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. to offer his services. KWCH

- ➤ Dillons announced that it will offer a 10% discount on Veterans Day to active and former military members—along with their dependents—in Wichita. The discount will not apply to alcohol, tobacco products, fuel, and other select items. KSN

- ➤ A Wichita plant nursery explained how homeowners can protect their plants from a temperature drop that is forecast to hit below the 30s this weekend. The nursery recommended covering potted plants and moving sensitive ones indoors to help prevent cold damage. KAKE

- ➤ Travelers at Wichita's Eisenhower National Airport are facing mounting delays—ongoing government shutdown conditions are raising travel costs and adding uncertainty to flight schedules. KSN
- ➤ Retired Kansas teacher Rena Parcher was one of 300 chosen out of thousands of applicants to decorate the White House for the holidays—she will join a team to handle specific design tasks for the 55,000 square foot home while covering her own travel and hotel costs as meals are provided. KWCH
