  • Eisenhower Airport is asking Wichita residents to donate non-perishable food items to support a local food drive — the airport hopes these contributions will help meet rising community needs. Please drop off donations at the designated locations during operating hours.  KWCH
  • The Table of Hope Food Pantry in Wichita served about 1,200 people a week, and visits increased as SNAP benefits are not being distributed in November while rising grocery prices strain residents. A Newton grocery store saw its EBT sales drop by half from September to October and a local gym started a 'give what you can, take what you need' pantry to help those in need.  KWCH

  • Chef Fred Winter is remembered in Wichita for his role in the restaurant scene — his legacy was honored in a commemorative article published on November 1, with local friends and family sharing their tribute.  KWCH

  • Candidates Diane Albert and MacKenzie Truelove met on Oct. 14 in a forum where they answered questions on bond funding, school phone policy, teacher pay and support, and free school meals. The incumbent stressed efficiency and community input—while the newcomer focused on expanding free meals and stronger support for all students.  The Voice
