- ➤ 3M recalled its Scotch Thermal Laminator model TL909-50 on Oct. 23 because overheating posed a burn risk and advised consumers to stop using it and contact the company for a refund—about 13,440 units were sold at Office Depot, Office Smart, and School Specialty. KSN

- ➤ Wichita’s Bray Films, a family-run studio, will premiere its new feature Trap 48 on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Regal Warren East Grand Auditorium + the film blends crime, family drama and supernatural elements with over 90 actors. - ➤ The Kansas African American Museum celebrated 25 years of honoring Black excellence by announcing its 2025 Trailblazers Hall of Fame class that honors leaders in education, aviation, sports, and performing arts—along with a posthumous tribute. - ➤ Botanica hosted a Día de los Muertos event on Sunday to honor loved ones who passed and welcome the local community with live performances until 8:00 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, military and children ages three to eleven, and free for children under two—adding a warm cultural touch to the garden.
