- ➤ Amy Young founded the Love Like Remi Foundation after her daughter Remington Hope Young died by suicide and will host a gala to support youth mental health programs — the event aims to offer local youth essential help. KSN

- ➤ Paris Baguette is still coming to west Wichita after its original plan near 29th and Ridge fell through and the location shifted to the former Hardee’s at 1320 N. Tyler Road— the building has received a new paint job and the restaurant is now hiring, though no opening date has been set yet. Wichita By E.B.
- ➤ Bella Vita Bistro will reopen this week in its new space at 9506 W. Central. The Italian restaurant will hold its grand opening on Wednesday, October 22, serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.—reservations for dinner are required during its first week. - ➤ Tanganyika Wildlife Park held Fallapalooza on Oct 18 — where visitors enjoyed animal feedings, food trucks, monster mash dance parties and Halloween movies — and used ticket funds to support animal care during the winter, with many stopping to see Mars, the viral baby pygmy hippo. KSN

- ➤ On Saturday, a Kansas mom hosted a gala to raise funds for suicide prevention programs in schools in honor of her late daughter Remington Hope Young. Her Love Like Remi Foundation (named for her daughter) has already placed counselors in every elementary school in Maize. KSN
- ➤ The Annual Kidney Walk will support kidney patients and families by raising funds and awareness—an event organized to help improve local kidney care. Community members will join the walk at a local park to show their support as the event takes place soon. KWCH
