- ➤ The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum is hosting a free birthday party on Sunday, July 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. to celebrate 155 years since Sedgwick County was founded and Wichita became its first city—non-members must bring a birthday card for Wichita or Sedgwick County for free admission. - ➤ The Easy Egg will open its third location at 3520 N. Maize Road in northwest Wichita less than a week from today as it takes over the former Chick N Max site — the restaurant plans a soft opening on Monday, July 21 with hours from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will serve breakfast and lunch. - ➤ Andrew Presley, 31, was charged with second-degree murder after fatally shooting 32-year-old Kelly Black on July 6 near the 7000 block of E. Lincoln — he made his first court appearance Thursday in Sedgwick County District Court following his arrest in a standoff in Hutchinson. KSN

- ➤ Adults looking to earn a GED or improve their English can enroll in courses offered by NexStep Alliance—a partnership between Goodwill Industries of Kansas and WSU Tech. Enrollment runs July 21–24 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 3351 N. Webb Rd, with each nine-week course requiring a $50 materials fee while scholarships are available. KSN

- ➤ Wichita mail carrier Kerry Hurd was honored with the Postmaster General Hero Award on July 17th for using her military training to perform CPR and save a woman who was not breathing near 1st and Grove in April — the USPS rarely gives this award and recognized her quick action. KSN
- ➤ Dozens of immigrants became U.S. citizens today in Wichita during a naturalization ceremony—one new citizen from Saudi Arabia recounted his 15-year journey from medical training to emergency physician to encourage others to follow the proper legal process. KWCH
