- ➤ A man fell into a well in Benton on Thursday morning and was rescued by Sedgwick County with help from Butler County dispatchers (the call came in around 10:30 a.m.) before being taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. KWCH

- ➤ Fifteen years ago Fletcher Powell told the story of the Wichita Monrovians, a baseball team of only black players that played a game in the 1920s — their 100th anniversary game will be celebrated this Saturday, June 21.
