- ➤ Laundry Love provides free laundry services to low-income residents at Spring Clean Laundry in west Wichita every second and fourth Tuesday at 6 p.m. Local church groups such as Good Shepherd Episcopal and Aldersgate United Methodist Church supply quarters and laundry essentials to those in need. - ➤ After torrential rains hit Wichita yesterday, flooded roads, waterlogged basements, and closed parks left residents coping with ongoing cleanup—rescue efforts continue at trouble spots like 1st and Bleckley. City officials say foundation repair calls have surged and playgrounds will reopen once new supplies are installed and inspected. KSN
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A car hit and damaged a statue that honors fallen firefighters early Wednesday at the Kansas Firefighters Museum on S. Broadway— police said a 39-year-old driver was found unresponsive and taken to the hospital as they investigate the crash. KSN
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Officers arrived at a Valero after 3 a.m. Tuesday and found 33-year-old Darries Mitchell fatally shot in north Wichita, and the police arrested a 59-year-old Wichita woman on murder charges—she is now held at Sedgwick County Jail while the investigation continues. KNSS

- ➤ A Wichita native is working on a musical that has received a Tony nomination—he is advancing the project and looking to bring it to new stages soon. KWCH
- ➤ Jacob Kramer, a Wichita native and Wichita State graduate, moved to New York last summer and now works as a dresser on a Tony-nominated musical where he helps actors get ready quickly. He will leave the Belasco Theatre on Sunday to work at Radio City Music Hall for the Tony Awards + expand his Broadway experience. KWCH
