- ➤ The Udall Historical Museum held a remembrance event on May 25 to mark the 70th anniversary of the deadly tornado that nearly leveled the town and claimed over 80 lives. Survivors shared their memories and the museum unveiled a special room to emphasize the need for early warning systems — the event brought together hundreds of community members. KSN
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday around 3 p.m., a head-on crash occurred on K-4 in Dickinson County when an eastbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound vehicle—killing four people, including an 8-year-old boy and a 57-year-old driver, and injuring four others, one of whom was a 14-year-old taken to Wesley Medical Center—while all occupants wore seatbelts as the investigation continues. - ➤ A 28-year-old man was injured by a gunshot wound on Sunday morning near 2500 S. Oliver in southeast Wichita — he was taken to a hospital and police say investigators believe he and the suspect knew each other — as the investigation continues. KWCH
- ➤ Wichita police responded just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday to the 700 block of South Laura after a 20-year-old woman was fatally shot—authorities took a 19-year-old suspect, who reportedly knew the victim, into custody. KNSS
