ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On May 24th, a crash at the intersection of K-254 and North Webb Road left one person seriously injured when a 2016 Hyundai Elantra turned in front of a 2015 Lexus RX—its driver was taken to Wesley Medical Center—while the Lexus driver was unharmed. KSN
- ➤ A rollover crash at the intersection of 21st and Woodlawn shortly after 5:30 p.m. Saturday injured two people, one in critical condition + crews asked drivers to avoid the area while working the scene. KWCH
- ➤ Four people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on K-4 Highway near Carlton Saturday afternoon — troopers confirmed one person was flown to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita and others were taken to a regional hospital — as the Kansas Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident. KSN
- ➤ A 44 year old Attica man died Friday afternoon when his car, driven by Eugene Stumblingbear, was in the wrong lane and collided head-on with a semi-truck on K-42 near Viola—Donald Piotrowski, the truck driver, sustained only minor injuries as the Kansas Highway Patrol investigates the crash. - ➤ A statewide Silver Alert was issued for Ina Duke, a 67-year-old Wichita woman with memory impairment who was last seen as a passenger in her black 2013 Hyundai Sonata with disability tag 86534, heading east on Highway 254 at 6:55 p.m. on May 24—police ask anyone with information to call 911. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Drivers along Ridge Road in northwest Sedgwick County will face a new traffic pattern starting Tuesday as road crews begin a shoulder and ditch improvement project. Northbound traffic will continue on Ridge Road from 53rd Street to 61st Street while southbound drivers will be rerouted west on 61st to Tyler Road—officials say the detour is expected to remain in place through the end of June, weather permitting.
