- ➤ A motorcyclist was seriously injured around 3 p.m. on Saturday on I-235 near Central in west Wichita—emergency crews transported him with suspected critical injuries—and drivers experienced delays in the area. KSN

- ➤ Wichita students protested today after budget cuts led to the layoffs of two staff members from the Native American education program at Wichita Public Schools. - ➤ A new Census Bureau report shows Wichita’s population hit 400,991—a 0.84% increase from 2023—with nearly 67% White, 18% Hispanic, about 10% African-American and roughly 5% Asian residents. Sedgwick County grew 2% to 523,824 people since 2020. KNSS
