ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Todric McGee (21), a former Wichita Northwest football player for Missouri State, was accidentally shot in Springfield on Friday and died early Saturday at a local hospital. KNSS
- ➤ A 13-year-old Wichita boy suffered a severe brain injury during a local basketball tournament on March 30 when he collapsed after experiencing head pain and blurry vision, underwent surgery at Wesley Children's Hospital to stop a brain bleed, and has not woken up since while his family seeks further evaluation at Children's Mercy. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Officers in Kechi arrested a suspect after a Saturday morning traffic stop and seized $3,810 in cash, two loaded firearms — one of which was stolen, and narcotics. KWCH
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Three Wichita State faculty shared insights on the current political situation at a panel event held last Thursday on campus, saying that academic freedom, challenges for international students, and racist rhetoric have affected higher education.
