COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ For over 10 years, Wichita Diaper Jam has collected tens of thousands of diapers for Wichita Children’s Home through events that started as a car wash after a tragedy and grew into a music concert—complete with food, drinks and diaper raffles. Founder Tiffany Rufe said the first event in 2015 raised about 4,000 diapers, the most recent raised around 24,000 and the next jam will aim to hit 30,000 donations. KSN

ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Missouri State University announced that Wichita native football player Todric McGee died Friday at his Springfield apartment from an accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound — police are still investigating the incident. KSN

- ➤ Sedgwick Police arrested a 37-year-old woman on charges of attempted aggravated kidnapping—police chief said. KWCH

- ➤ The Wichita Fire Department introduced its new mascot Rigs on Saturday after 25 years of service by longtime mascot Sparky ended and the public chose Rigs as his successor. Rigs will serve at community events, fire safety outreach programs, and educational activities for kids—continuing Sparky's legacy. KSN
- ➤ State health officials lifted the boil water advisory for Sedgwick County Rural Water District #4 after tests showed the water was safe following a pressure loss from a waterline break—conditions that lowered chlorine levels have been fixed. KSN

- ➤ Wichita native Todric McGee died after suffering a gunshot wound in Missouri as his former coach and teammates from Northwest High School recalled his vibrant spirit and lasting impact on sports. KWCH
- ➤ Former Wichita State player P.J. Couisnard is expected to be named assistant coach at Wichita State to fill the vacancy after T.J. Cleveland left for Texas A&M—his appointment will boost recruiting in Houston and across Texas. KWCH
