- ➤ Beauties & Beasts, the Wichita animal rescue, is hosting the annual Ball Crawl 2026 pub crawl fundraiser next Saturday, April 18 in Old Town from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Teams collecting the most donations will win a special prize along with raffle ticket opportunities. KWCH

- ➤ Sedgwick County Zoo is hosting a construction-themed birthday celebration today at 10 a.m. at its outdoor elephant habitat to honor baby elephants Bomani, who turned one on Friday, and Kijani, who will turn one on Tuesday, Apr. 14. KWCH
- ➤ Exploration Place is hosting its self-designed Illusions exhibit until May 3, featuring interactive optical illusions that appeal to adults and families. Tickets are available online or with regular museum admission. KWCH

- ➤ Wichita students competed yesterday at Wichita State University in Spanish language contests that challenged their command of vocabulary and grammar. The event involved participants from local schools and colleges, highlighting the community’s strong focus on language education. KWCH
- ➤ Wichita State named Jamarco Clark its new vice president for Student Affairs after a months-long candidate search and public forums + interim Director Kevin Konda will serve until Clark starts on July 1, when he will work under President Richard Muma to lead student programs. The Sunflower
