- ➤ The Wichita Police Department is asking the public’s help to locate 70-year-old Carolyn Delap—reported missing in December 2022 with a description of 5′3″, 200 pounds and blue eyes—with officers having checked her last known address and urging anyone with information to call 316-268-4407. KWCH
- ➤ Wichita police are asking for help to locate 18-year-old Nichalus Hohner—who functions at a 10-year-old level, left his placement around 2 p.m., and was last seen near 800 N. Valleyview Ln while wearing a light grey T-shirt, grey sweatpants, a white beanie, and neon rainbow Nike shoes—if you have any information, call 911. KSN
- ➤ Wichita Police continue their investigation after 70-year-old Carolyn Delap, last seen in December 2022, has been missing for over two years — her last known address was checked on April 4 — and she is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall with blue eyes and weighing about 200 pounds. KSN

- ➤ April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month and a new SB8 law signed by Governor Laura Kelly in March requires drivers to move over or slow down when passing disabled vehicles; AAA reports that distracted driving causes more than 3,000 preventable deaths each year. KWCH
- ➤ Wichita Police announced on Monday that they added three new K‑9s and their handlers—who will receive 12 weeks of intensive training to master search, detection, tracking, and criminal apprehension—as part of a joint program with the Sedgwick County Sheriff and Kansas Highway Patrol. KSN
- ➤ At today's City Council meeting, Mayor Lily Wu said the council will spend $8.2 million on fire truck and radio upgrades and a $1.5 million design fee to replace two stations and build a new one in District 4 in southwest Wichita. The council will also review a plan to use $125,000, with Sedgwick County funds, to test groundwater at 29th and Grove—efforts aimed at addressing local contamination concerns. KNSS
