COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Approximately 3,500 demonstrators marched in a No Kings rally outside the Historic Sedgwick County Courthouse on Saturday, March 28. The event showcased a strong local expression of community activism.  The Sunflower

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On March 26, student body presidential candidates held a streamed debate focused on increasing transparency in SGA. The next debate is set for April 2 at 6 p.m. in the Santa Fe Trail room at the Rhatigan Student Center, with voting ending April 8.  The Sunflower
  • At Wichita State, the Student Senate introduced a bill Wednesday night to add a sixth article to the Student Bill of Rights protecting disabled students and other groups from discrimination. Sponsored by Adult Learners Senator Andrew Hatch, the amendment is set for a second reading and debate on April 1.  The Sunflower

  • Lawmakers approved a bill on Mar. 28 to protect motorsport venues from local restrictions (clearing the way for continued events) and boost local economic growth.  KWCH
