- ➤ Deputies from the Rush County Sheriff’s Office rescued 54 animals from poor living conditions and arrested two people during an investigation of a stolen firearm report at a La Crosse home — their search lasted up to 44 hours — and the animals were moved to six facilities. KSN
- ➤ Carlos Anderson-Honeycutt was found guilty of first-degree murder in Wichita for killing 24-year-old Brittnee Wicker whose body was found in a home on the 2300 block of S. Belmont on November 12, 2023—he will be sentenced on May 27. KSN
