  • Miss Wichita was held on March 15 with local contestants competing for the crown (final results to be announced soon).  KAKE
  • Delano held its first St. Patrick’s Day parade as a common consumption area yesterday and drew a large crowd (marking the event's debut as a new community celebration).  KWCH

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Wichita State Shockers earned a three seed in the National Invitation Tournament and will host Wyoming at Charles Koch Arena on Tuesday, March 17 with a tip-off at 6 p.m. The game will air on ESPNU.  KWCH
  • The Kansas Jayhawks will start their NCAA tournament against 13th-seeded Cal Baptist in San Diego this Friday after competing in the Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City and may face the winner of the St. John's + Northern Iowa matchup on Sunday.  KWCH
