- ➤ Visit Wichita announced on Thursday that Wichita will host community-driven events in 2026 to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. A local America 250 Committee unveiled a commemorative logo during a briefing by Mayor Lily Wu to guide the celebrations. KWCH
- ➤ Wichita's addiction recovery group is shoveling snow in local neighborhoods today, clearing driveways and sidewalks after a recent snowfall. KWCH
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Local tow truck companies are preparing for a busy weekend as a winter storm is forecast. They are using special fuel to prevent freezing issues and advise drivers to slow down on slick roads, with stranded drivers possibly waiting 30 minutes to two hours for help. KWCH
- ➤ John Rolfe resigned from his role as president & CEO of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce Thursday to pursue new opportunities; his leadership ushered in the Military Affairs Council and improved advocacy. Brecken Morel was named interim CEO until a permanent leader is chosen. KWCH

- ➤ Sen. Roger Marshall traveled with leaders from Kansas Corn, Soybean, Sorghum, Wheat, Dairy and the Kansas Grain and Feed Association to Mexico City to boost trade ties and advocate for Kansas agriculture ahead of USMCA talks. Marshall met with Mexican officials, including the Secretary of Agriculture (to address animal health concerns). KNSS
